My name is Elizabeth Soto and I am a graduate of Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Film. My passion for film has been present since I was young as I had become fascinated with how my favorite films were made.

 

I specialize in the art of cinematography, as I believe that the image on the screen can be an absolute thing of beauty when it is choreographed and lit properly with the right actors. Alongside cinematography I also love to direct and write. I enjoy being able to create a story from nothing and bring it to life through the medium of film.  With a need to be hands-on I prefer to be on set in the thick of things whilst filming. I love to see how things are working and improve and adapt if things need to be adjusted.

I think quick on my feet when there is a problem and I am loyal to my craft. I will not give up on a project until it has it has been done to the best of my ability. I love to collaborate and work with other filmmakers to make the best film we can. Film should be a collaboration between people because you never know who could come up with the best possible idea there could be to film something. You learn through mistakes in my mind and that means every time you do something again it's that much better because you've learned.
